Safety & Quality
The Standard Is More Than the Finish.
Quality tile installation begins before mobilization and ends at closeout. Safety is not a separate program — it is part of how the work is planned and executed.
Quality Control
Built Into the Process.
01
Preconstruction Review
- Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Identify substrate conditions, movement joint requirements, and waterproofing scope
- Confirm setting material and grout selections against specification
- Coordinate with GC on sequencing, access, and adjacent trade work
- Document pre-existing conditions before mobilization
02
Substrate Verification
- Verify substrate flatness, deflection, and structural adequacy
- Confirm substrate is clean, sound, and properly prepared
- Document and report deficiencies before proceeding
- Obtain written direction before installing over non-conforming substrates
03
Material Verification
- Verify materials against approved submittals before installation
- Confirm lot numbers and shade consistency before setting
- Store materials per manufacturer requirements
- Document material certifications and retain for closeout package
04
Installation
- Install per ANSI A108 series and project specification
- Maintain required coverage, joint width, and lippage tolerances
- Install movement joints per TCNA EJ171 and project drawings
- Perform flood testing in wet areas before grouting
- Document daily production and conditions
05
Closeout
- Provide complete closeout documentation package
- Include material certifications, test results, and warranty information
- Conduct final walkthrough and address punch list items
- Provide maintenance and care instructions for installed tile
